If placing the cedar outside, select a location where the anchor can be easily inserted into the soil. Clear the area of stones and debris to prepare for installation. 5. Measure the length of the attached anchor, and dig a hole in your chosen spot with equivalent depth and width to ensure a right fit. 6. Align the faux boxwood vertically over the hole. Gently push the anchor into the ground, applying even pressure until the base of the cedar is at ground level. Check that it can sit still by itself. 7. Adjust as need be and add some river rocks to the top for a designer touch.
